- Since Jesus is God, His counsel is perfect.
- He knows everything.
- He has no use for Wikipedia and knows every inaccurate revision in it.
- He sees everything.
- He sees everything Big Brother doesn't, and He doesn't need vast camera systems to keep track of things.
- He hears everything.
- He hears things spoken and unspoken.
- He hears silence and knows how to interpret groans.
- He hears the sound outer space makes as it expands.
- He is everywhere.
- He can do anything except stop being God.
- Jesus' counsel has already been tested (Prov. 30:5).
- The counsel Jesus gives is to provoke action, not discussion.
- Before you seek more counsel from Jesus, have you followed the counsel He already gave?
- Jn. 3:3 > It is Jesus' counsel that you be born again.
- 1 Thess. 4:3 > It is His counsel that you abstain from sexual immorality.
- 1 Thess 5:18 > It is His counsel that you give thanks in everything.
- Mic. 6:6-8 > It is His counsel that you do good (as defined in the verses).
- Sometimes what you need is not counsel but courage!
- You know what to do but just don't want to do it.
- James calls such avoidance sin (Jam. 4:17).
