When the run is gushing freely, this is quite a sight.  The run empties into the Kiskiminetas River, roughly 1 mile from Edmon, PA.

Queen Anne's Lace is spectacular when it is in full bloom.  Most of the green background is the Kiskiminetas River.  I took this shot not far from the 2-mile marker.

The closest identification I can make for this insect is the "widow skimmer" dragonfly.  If you can confirm or otherwise identify, please let me know.

That's some detail and symmetry, wouldn't you agree?  What a Creator we serve!

Because of all the green, I call this shot "Ireland At The Kiski".  The scene can be viewed near the 2-mile mark on the Roaring Run Trail (starting at the Apollo, PA trailhead).

I found this "rabbit head" leaf interesting.  Or is it a fish?  (If you don't see it, look more closely at the highlighted leaves.)

Lessons:
1.  You will never "see" what you don't look at.
2.  Focus is determined by what you exclude.  You can't pay attention to everything.  What is it you need to cut out or crop off?
3.  Let the lens "see" for you.  What "lens" do you commonly use? Lenses that shrink things include bitterness, cynicism, negativity, gossip and an excuse-making mindset.  Lenses that make things bigger include curiosity, excitement, faith and a magnanimous spirit.
