Another Week Or So And She's Gone

Deer / 609 First St., Apollo, PA / 10:30 P.M. / November 8
Right now, I have the deer coming to me.  No freezing, no half-day hikes to nowhere, no sitting in trees and waiting forever.  One shot, done.  Painless.  I have the memory.  She lives.  I've been inspired.  Thank You, Lord, for your wonderful Creation.

To My Hunter Friends

These are my pets -- Penelope, Esmerelda and Gertrude.  They were recently in my back yard.  The doe lying down is Gertrude.  I think.

Monday we'll be shooting deer.  You'll have a rifle or bow.  Just a camera for me.  Please scare some bucks my way, will you?  Thanks.

Deer on Kiski Ave.

Deer on Kiski Ave. is a common sight.  The Kiskimenetas River is right there.  What struck me was how photogenic this deer was.  She stood right there and let me take the shot.  I wish the lighting was better, but the dark effect is kind of interesting.
