Today is Valentine's Day.  At some point, you will read what's on your valentine's heart.  Jesus is God's Valentine to you.  God's sending His Son, Jesus, was the Hallmark moment -- God cared enough to send the very best!  Do you ever wonder what's on God's heart for you?  What's on His heart for you should affect what's in your heart toward Him.

New Sermon Series to Begin November 11

This new series is called "You're Invited."  In the Bible, God gives some wonderful invitations!  The series starts with "Come and See" (Jn. 1:35-39) and ends with "Come and Worship" (Psa. 95:1-7; Mt. 2:1-2,11).  When God gives an invitation, people are wise to accept it. This series will strengthen believers but have an evangelistic slant.  Who will you bring with you to church?  Make sure they know,"You're invited!"

"Lego God" -- Introduction to the Series

Series Title:  "Lego God"

Series Text:  Ex. 20:3-5a

From 1958 to 2008, there were 400 billion Lego parts made.  Since 1978 there were 4 billion mini-figures made. A standard Lego block has 8 studs (raised bumps).  Six standard Lego bricks of the same color can be assembled in 915,103,765 combinations.

 

Exodus 32:19-24 contains the "Lego god" mentality.  "Out came this calf."

To serve a "Lego god" means you redefined the God of the Bible.  God is now who or what you want Him to be.
