The Job Situation

Last you knew, I was selling vacuum cleaners. When I compared income to expenses, I made $1.25 "profit" per hour. Too little return for so many hours. So I'm back on the job trail. I've applied to the bus company and to Sears. I'm pursuing a lead at Niagara Hospice.

Thanks for praying. God has something.

Update on Job Search

I've been told several things, based on e-mail responses to my work history.
  • "You're not what we're looking for at this time, but we'll keep your paperwork on file." (Translation: Thank you, but no thank you. There's not a chance you'll ever hear from us.)
  • "Your work history does not match our present needs at this time." (Translation: We're not looking for a pastor. We need a skilled laborer.)

The search continues as the pressure builds.

What Are the Odds?

Prelim. interv'w today in E. Amherst, NY. Extremely easy to see God in this opportunity.
  1. The manager's father is an Assemblies of God pastor in New York. (Some readers might not have made the connect'n. I'm also the pastor of an AG church.)
  2. There is no problem having Sundays off. That's quite a rarity! There is actually another employee who can only work Sundays. If I were to get hired and work the Saturdays, she could remain on Sundays. What a deal!

Chance? No. Providence? Yes. I'm waiting to hear from the hiring director.
