When I think, Lord, that you are jealous for me, that messes me up! To my shame, all I seem to reciprocate is one sin after another. What's in me that puts You in such hot pursuit? It must have something to do with the quality of Your love.
Your intense longing after me is too wonderful for me to understand. With all the potential outlets for Your jealousy, You choose to pursue me? You're jealous for me? Way to overwhelm me, Lord!
Thank You for relentless love that is beyond my understanding. Today, be at work in me both to will and to work Your good pleasure (Phil. 2:13). Nothing brings You more pleasure than my appropriate response to Your red-hot jealousy. I want to love You the way You demand to be loved by me. You are my God, and I shall have no other.
