Read Mark 10:46-52.
Father, I want to live out of the new identity that You provide me through Jesus. There is nothing in my old identity that is worth keeping. How easily, though, I can hang onto things from the past and suggest that they might become beneficial. Work in me to identify those things that still need to be abandoned. Just as Bartimaeus did, I want to forsake and forget them so that I can follow you without hindrance. Thank You for the robe of righteousness and garment of salvation that You give to me.
