WHAT'S IN A NAME?
- Biblical names were
significant.
- A person's name
revealed character, competency, destiny or nature.
- Some parents chose
sad names for their children.
- Isaac named his
son “Jacob.” Jacob means
“supplanter” or “deceiver.”
- Another named his
son “Nabal.” Nabal means
“fool.”
- Some parents chose
power names for their children.
- Elijah means “The
Lord is God.”
- Jesus means
“Savior.”
- God the Father chose
the highest name for His Son (Phil. 2:5-8).
