- All ten lepers had the same moment with Jesus and received the same instruction, but only one experienced a heart change.
- That change began inside long before Jesus commented on the man's faith.
- Somewhere between realizing his cleansing and getting back to Jesus, faith erupted in this man's soul.
- Jesus merely called out what was there.
- Biblical faith always calls for action. The grateful Samaritan's faith “worked.”
- He obeyed Jesus by going to the priests.
- He pursued Jesus by walking back to Jesus. Faith wants to be where Jesus is.
- He worshiped Jesus through prostration and proclamation, through falling down and speaking up.
- The strong suggestion is that the nine had insufficient faith.
- They had healing, yes.
- They had a better life, but still didn't have abundant life or eternal life.
- They had a new skin but not new hearts.
- The one, however, was transformed externally and internally.
- Today, which better describes you – the one or the nine?
- May there be a faith eruption in your spirit today!
