Famine is a disaster we
normally don't associate with America. We might experience
temporary food supply interruption, but we don’t know enduring food
shortage. Each year we gather to a feast called Thanksgiving to
reflect upon the fact that God's faithfulness didn't fail us.
Year by year we repeat this tradition and the result never changes.
The pattern is set: "Great is Thy
faithfulness" (Lam. 3:22-23). Join me in declaring, "We are a blessed people!"
Perish the thought, but
what if we weren't blessed -- at least not the way we're accustomed
to? What if there was a famine in America? How would we
respond?
Tomorrow, tune in to read how famine could strike America.
