That's a good question, since it has everything to do with the meaning of Christmas.

• Lu. 19:10 > Jesus came "...to seek and to save that which was lost."
• Jn. 3:16 > Jesus came "...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
• Jn. 3:17 > "Jesus came "...that the world should be saved through Him."
• Gal. 1:4 > Jesus came to "...deliver us out of this present evil age..."
• Gal. 4:4-7 > Jesus came to turn slaves of sin into joint-heirs with Him.
• 1 Jn. 3:5 > Jesus came "...in order to take away sins..."
• 1 Jn. 3:8 > Jesus came "..for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil."
