Unless Jonathan had left the camp, he would never have seen the opportunity. He saw what no one else saw and did what no one else did because he was positioned where no one else was positioned. Jonathan's leaving led to a victory his people hadn't planned.
The name Jonathan means "the Lord gave." Jesus, the One the Father gave (Jn. 3:16), left heaven's camp to position Himself to win a victory for His people (Mt. 1:21).
