Faith Facts (Jn. 20:24-29)

We're continuing to read through the Gospel of John. Today's reading is John 20:19-31.

Faith is personal.  "We" cannot believe.  Faith is not a group choice.  It is an individual choice.

Faith is not opposed to evidence or questions, but must transcend them.

Jesus knows your hang up when it comes to believing.  He will do all He can to remove the obstacles.

Not everyone believes at the same point in time.  Thomas' turn came eight days later.  Today can be your day to believe!

In your journey toward belief in Jesus, He offers you a word of peace.  He is not out to condemn you.  He is not disappointed in you.  Jesus wants you to believe.

Faith must have an accurate profession.  Anything less than "Jesus is Lord and God" falls short.  More specifically, He is my Lord and my God.  Jesus is the boss, the CEO of life.  He demands surrender and requires loyal conformity.

The highest form of faith is to believe when you haven't seen.  As the great theologian Judy says in "The Santa Clause":  "Seeing isn't believing; believing is seeing."
