No, We're Not High

Carpet job in the sanctuary is 75% done. When I went to check on things, I was immediately assaulted by the glue. The carpet installer said he didn't smell anything. He's around it all the time. I'm saying to myself, "How can you not smell this?" What he needed most was a breath of fresh air.

You get used to your environment. You get used to it even to the point of not recognizing potential hazards. How true for all of us.

God, help us have a moment-to-moment sensitivity to You. Cause us to recognize hazards before they can do their damage. Let us understand the effect culture has upon us. May we have regular times in Your presence and become acclimated to You instead.

Rom 12:2
