There is no way I would want to be part of the budget negotiations in Harrisburg.  I can't imagine all of what goes into creating, negotiating and voting upon a state budget.  Certainly, both sides want to stand up for their convictions.  That should be commended, even if we disagree with particular convictions.

The budget impasse is at the point where it is hurting the poor (Perhaps it's been this way for a while?).  I'm willing to bet that the governor, senators and representatives do not rely upon assistance from food banks. Thanks be to God that they don't!

Some do rely upon such assistance.  Thanks be to God that assistance is available!  Area food banks are taking a hit, having to cut back because of the budget impasse. You can read more here.

Those cutbacks affect real people.  Representatives, senators, Governor, isn't there a way to get this budget done?  It isn't easy, but it is possible.  Please stay at the table and talk this through.
