1Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.
2Serve
the LORD with gladness;
Come
before Him with joyful singing.
3Know
that the LORD Himself is God;
It
is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We
are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4Enter
His gates with thanksgiving,
And His
courts with praise.
Give
thanks to Him; bless His name.
5For
the LORD is good;
His
lovingkindness is everlasting,
And
His faithfulness to all generations.
(Psa. 100, NASB 1977)
Tomorrow, you will be at church. Well, at least you should be. What's the main reason you should be there? To worship. In this psalm, the writer instructs readers how to worship God.
Worship with joy and gladness (vv. 1-2).
Worship with humility (v. 3). You are not self-made or self-sustaining.
Worship with thankfulness (vv. 4-5).
Here is your weekly protein.
1. Answer these questions.
Of the three (joy, humility, thankfulness), which is the most challenging for you?
What adjustment can you make so that, as you participate in tomorrow's service, you will be more aligned with Psalm 100?
