There are four sections, each revolving around a question posed by the scribes and/or Pharisees.
- Mk. 2:1-12 > Why does Jesus claim to be God?
- Mk. 2:13-17 > Why does Jesus associate with people of questionable reputation?
- Mk. 2:18-22 > Why does Jesus permit His disciples not to fast?
- Mk. 2:23-28 > Why does Jesus permit His disciples to break the Sabbath?
