- Most would prefer verses 24 and 25 to verses 26 and 27.
- Build intentionally. Intentionally and carefully hear; intentionally do. Obey. By itself information doesn't lead to transformation.
- Build on the Rock. Solidity, stability, immovability. The Rock is Jesus.
- Build according to the plan. Blueprints are important! The plan determines the next step. Who drafted the life blueprint you are following?
- Build early. Start building on the Rock sooner than later. You'll have far less to deconstruct.
- Build consistently. Whatever you leave unattended for long periods of time will decay. Build each Sunday with church attendance, including Sunday School. Build each day with prayer, Bible reading and worship.
- Build thoroughly. A builder doesn't say, "Well, plumbing isn't my thing. Let's leave out the pipes." Don't just build where you're competent. Pay attention to weakness and deficiency.
- Build carefully (1 Cor. 3:10-15). The structure will be inspected. It will be evaluated for strength, suitability and quality.
