- It is one thing to dominate and be in charge; it is another thing to force out the enemy.
- It is one thing to burn a city; it is another thing to expel the inhabitants.
- It is easier to subjugate the Canaanites than to force them out.
- Never forget that it is the nature of the "Canaanites" to compromise, deceive and corrupt.
