Apollo On My Mind (10/29/15)

A week ago yesterday I was prayer-walking in Apollo, primarily on Woodward Ave., Summit St., and N. Fourth St.  These streets don't get a lot of foot traffic during school hours. People who are at home notice someone who is not from the neighborhood.

Fifteen minutes into my walk, I hear a car approaching stealthily from behind me.  Its driver is one of Apollo's finest. He keeps on driving slowly as he glances over at me. For all I know the entire thing is coincidence.  I can't help but wonder, however, if someone called about a "stranger" walking the neighborhood and taking pictures (which I was -- of the foliage).  Anyway . . .

It is reassuring to know that our police are out there! Thank you, Apollo Police, for being vigilant.

If you happen to get "the glance" from a police officer, give him (or her) the benefit of the doubt. It is highly improbable that he is targeting you (unless you are doing something illegal).  Part of his job is to notice things that are out of the ordinary.
