Oh, yes, there was also concern about a volcano in Iceland. Whether or not the volcano suffered a "subglacial eruption" doesn't matter. Obviously there is concern that this volcano could go at any time.
The problem isn't that there are insufficient signs and warnings. No, the problem is that we've become so accustomed to hearing about disasters that we're in danger of dismissing them as "nature taking its course."
