- Pastors must answer two questions: (1) How will you initiate people into a life with Jesus? (2) How will you teach people to become like Jesus?
- Faith isn't opposed to doubt. Faith is opposed to sight.
- You won't follow Jesus if you don't consider Him to be competent.
- Can you be a "Christian" and not be a disciple of Jesus? Sadly, the answer is yes.
- Discipleship is greater than content-downloading.
- The altar call (for salvation) is the starting line, not the finish line.
- The entry point (not the outcome) for following Jesus is "disciple." The entry point is not "Christian."
