It is one thing to have occasional bouts of awe. Something supernatural happened and you were awestruck. What a miracle you witnessed! That's fun, right?
The formative church continually felt a sense of awe. They kept on being overwhelmed and expectant. God kept on doing the miraculous. Back and forth it went. What a fun atmosphere!
God can do miracles anytime He wants. The wild card is His worshipers. Will they maintain a sense of awe? Here is the only way I know how that happens -- expect God to move and then celebrate when He does. Make His name the talk of the town. Never settle. Don't call anything He does "just a little thing."
