High Praise to Christ our King (Heb. 1:5-14)

The angels can't claim these things and neither can any human.  Jesus Christ is...
  • The begotten Son of God (Heb. 1:5).
    • "Begotten" > Read Jn. 3:16.
  • The Firstborn Son (Heb. 1:6).
    • Jesus is the Firstborn of all creation (Rom. 8:29).
    • Jesus is the Firstborn of many brethren (Col. 1:15).
    • Jesus is the Firstborn of the dead (Col. 1:18; Rev. 1:5).
  • Worthy of worship (Heb. 1:6).
    • Read Lu. 2:13-14; Rev. ch. 4&5.
  • The Righteous King (Heb. 1:8-9).
    • The King has a throne (Heb. 1:8).
    • The King has a scepter (Heb. 1:9).
      • It is a scepter of righteousness.  Righteousness means loving what is right and hating what is lawless.
    • The King has an anointing (Heb. 1:9).
  • The Creator of the universe (Heb. 1:10).
  • Incapable of change (Heb. 1:11-12).
  • Eternal (Heb. 1:12).
    • He had no beginning and He has no end.
Because of Who You are I give You glory.
Because of Who You are I give You praise.
