Six Consequences When We Don't Pray

The following is taken from a lecture by Dr. Joel Beeke, "Cultivating Private Prayer as a Pastor."  If we do not pray...
  • We become ungrateful.  We do not give thanks to God for all the blessings we have received.
  • We become self-righteous.  We do not confess our sins to God.
  • We become self-centered.  We do not ask God to bless others.
  • We become presumptuous.  We do not ask God for our daily bread.
  • We become irreverent.  We do not praise God for who He is and what He has done.
  • We become unfriendly toward God.  We do not demonstrate that we want to be with God.
