Birthday Reflections

  1. Forty-two doesn't seem any different than forty-one!
  2. The things I really want as gifts I can't have -- at least now now. Either I can't afford them or they are things money can't buy.
  3. My prayer is that the next 42 years far excel the first forty-two years.
  4. I can celebrate another birthday only because of God's grace, mercy and kindness to me. "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift." (2 Cor 9:15)
  5. It's difficult to celebrate your birthday alone. I have great people ahead of me (parents), behind me (children), with me (Lisa) and around me (church). Oh yes, and God is for me.
