When Is L.A.G. Going to Die?

Last Saturday I was asked this question. It came up again Wednesday night. "When is L.A.G. going to die?" I have three responses to this.
  1. Why are we so quick to assume death? In some twisted way, has death become easier than life? Has it become easier to give up than to grow up?
  2. L.A.G. does not have to die! Choices we make have greater impact than anyone realizes. Our situation didn't just happen. Disappointing choices (not all of them by those who left) made their mark. If we can choose poorly, we can also choose wisely. We lived our way into this situation and we can only live our way out.
  3. The better question: "When is L.A.G. going to live?" Life is celebration. Life is addition. Life is fun. Life is togetherness. Life is participation. Life is witness. Life is giving. Life is planning. Life is action. Life is change. Life is opportunity. Life is risk. Life is commitment. Life is family and friends.
