Seminar on Evangelism (Part 2)

Rev. Steve Danser presented a 3-hour seminar on 3.13.10. These comments are from my notes.

• The heart of an evangelist: "I want to reach whoever I'm appointed to reach." You don't know how many people you're appointed to reach. So get busy!
• Charles Finney: If you have no burden to reach lost people, you're backslidden. This is true for individuals and for churches.
• You are appointed to reach "some." I am appointed to reach "some." "Some" + "some" = "sum."
• We've learned how to get into someone's face, but we've not learned how to appeal to the heart.
• 2 Cor 5:11 > You must believe unsaved people are in big trouble, dead in sin and without hope.
• Jer 8:20; Jn 9:4 > The harvest can be left too long and thus be squandered. The time will come when it will be too late to witness.
• 2 Pet 3:9 > God wants everyone to repent.
