Interested in Membership?

To get ready for membership, there are several things you should be doing (if you're not already doing them.)
  1. Tithing. You contribute ten percent of your gross income to the church. Unfortunately, this has been a source of irritation. At L.A.G., members tithe. Period.
  2. Working. In what specific ministry are you currently involved? On what ministry rotations are you currently listed? Church is not about receiving. It is about giving. At L.A.G., members are involved.
  3. Attending. How consistent is your church attendance? Is it confined merely to Sunday morning? When you are at chuch, do you spectate or participate? At L.A.G., we value faithful attendance.
  4. Trusting. Have you surrendered (Notice, I didn't say, "committed.") your life to Jesus Christ? Have you asked Him to forgive your sins and come into your heart? When? What difference has it made? Can you say you are living for Him? At L.A.G., membership is for born-again believers.
  5. Seeking. Unashamedly, we believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We believe that the initial, physical evidence of such baptism is speaking in other tongues. We find it difficult to recommend for membership those with a hostile, indifferent or casual stance toward this position. As part of the membership process, you will review a summary of our doctrinal beliefs. Members promise to support the content of that summary.

Should you apply for membership, I can promise that you will be asked about these things.
