Bringing People to Jesus (Mk 2:3-4)

Wednesday's reading was Matthew 22-23; Mark 2-3.
  1. The four men got the paralytic up onto the roof. What coordination and cooperation on their part! What trust on the paralytic's part! Some plant, some water, some harvest. Your efforts are part of a divine process. You need the efforts of others and they need your efforts. Most evangelism is done relationally. It is doubtful the four men grabbed just any paralytic. Chances are high they knew this guy.
  2. The four men had to break through the roof. What determination on their part! They refused to stop working until there was a breakthrough. Keep praying. Keep befriending. Keep speaking. Keep serving. Do whatever it takes as long as it takes.
  3. The four men lowered the paralytic in front of Jesus. What expectation on their part! Do you really believe the gospel is powerful unto salvation? Do you really believe the Holy Spirit is convicting people? Do you really believe Jesus is mighty to save?
